One of two recently revamped championship courses ( the other is the Kittocks course) sitting atop a spectacular cliff formation, with breathtaking panoramic views of the River Tay estuary, the Fife countryside and the medieval skyline of St Andrews. The Torrance course was designed by 2002 Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance and the late Gene Sarazen, this course has stunning sea views and cliff-edge tees and greens. The Torrance is an Open Qualifying Course for the 2010 Open Championship and also hosted the Scottish Senior Open in 2009.

Signature Hole

FIFTEENTH (221 yards, par 3)- Tough hole running along the top of the cliffs. The elements are a factor here with a back wind often making the hole play shorter than its yardage.
